The “Cretan Diet 2.0: From Tradition to Strategic Profitability” conference, organised by the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry, concluded successfully, opening an important discussion on the future of the Cretan Diet and the ways in which Cretan businesses can create added value through quality, collaboration and outward-looking growth.
Speaking at the session “Product Identity & Branding: The Legal and Commercial Protection of Value”, Antonia Skaraki highlighted that the future success of Cretan products will depend not only on their quality, but also on their ability to adopt a contemporary visual language capable of communicating with international consumers and securing a place within premium distribution channels, from specialist delicatessens to fine dining establishments.
Held with the participation of the Region of Crete and in the presence of Regional Governor Stavros Arnaoutakis, the conference underscored the need for a shared strategic framework linking production, branding, certification, tourism and exports, enabling the name of Crete to become a source of tangible business value for the island’s producers and enterprises.
